The Ethnographical House in Dolina

In the village of Dolina, only a couple of kilometres away from the town of Lendava, lies the building that is considered the first brick building of the settlement. It was turned into an ethnographical house and was opened in 2022.  The primary goal of the ethnographical house, set in an idyllic environment, is to serve the community and support the activities that aim to preserve the local traditions. Since the most important purpose of the building is to display the area´s ethnographic values and its local history, plans are that the building will be housing a museum area. The building is made up of four parts: the ground floor includes a room for activities of the community which will later incorporate the museum area. The loft offers accommodation for guests, while the cellar will be used for economic purposes since the object will not only be considered to operate as an educational centre but also as the site of summer camps and educational training and a place to present locally produced wines and offer an opportunity to sell local souvenirs.
