Regaining Health through Medicinal Plants

Medicinal plants are natural substances, suitable for healing numerous illness symptoms and are at hand to everyone. They can be found anywhere: in the garden, in the meadow, at the edges of forests, etc. Nonetheless, these medicinal plants may also develop some side effects, therefore, it is advised to take a look at what they are specifically used for or ask for help from someone who is familiar with them before starting to therapeutically use them.

Let us have a look at them. The most effective herb against coughs is thyme. It has an antibacterial, soothing, and anti-inflammatory effect. Sage leaves, that may also be applied for disinfection, are often used for soothing inflammation of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity. The pot marigold eases itching, has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Since it helps wounds to heal faster, it is recommended for the treatment of skin and oral cavity diseases. It is also used when dealing with cracked skin, smaller wounds, insect stings and bites, as well as skin inflammation caused by exposure to the sun. Chamomile is also used for soothing inflammation, but it is also known for its effect on reducing cramps and its antibacterial properties. Some of its medicinal properties are suitable for the treatment of wounds. An indispensable medicinal plant for women is yarrow that excellently eases vaginal and uterus inflammation, but it may also be used to treat inflammation of the mucous membranes and gums.
