jakabThe fair in Dobrovnik was a very important event in the past and was named after the patron saint of the church, St. Jacob. Every year, a day–long fair was held on the 25th of July, next to the church. Although Jacob's Fair and Patron Saint's Day was the main event in the village, the tradition died out anyway.

Every year, in the middle of August, Lendava holds an international Fisherman’s soup cooking competition, that is known to e the biggest gastronomy event of the Hungarians living in Pomurje.

A series of various events started on the 9th of June with the Patron Saint’s Day of St. Vitus, the main event of the Days of Tourism, and finished on the 7th of July with beach volleyball tournament.
